Finally, I have got my silk dyed for the Poppies! My first order, so exciting. I added an orange red dye sachet, Procion red and salt, (equal tablespoons to litres of water) to the hot dye bath and after soaking the silk in warm water I let them soak in the lovely hot bath. They were then given a nice cold rinse and they are now hung on the line to dry....
Now to clean up the mess and bin my gloves! They have a hole...in the thumb!
