Halloween

I wanted a cute halloween at home this year, no worrying about what to go as and what to do, but decided on baking pumpkin pie, soup and watching Hocus Pocus and the like whilst carving pumpkins.
I'd never had pumpkin pie before but it was delicious!
We watched Hocus Pocus (just as scary as I remember!) on Sunday night after my parents left and James carved a butternut squash but on Halloween night I was poorly and abandoned my friends and half cooked stew and went to bed.
I'm going to bake up a storm this weekend and have a late halloween at home with the girls... and James!

Here's a couple of photos from our Halloween(ish) weekend...

Vintage Frocks

Today I helped a very dear friend with a very exciting job and modelled (she owes me BIG) a lot of vintage frocks. It wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be but I haven't seen any of the photos yet except these little snaps. Larry (who photographed) was so much fun and lets just say quite a bit of tissue was needed for some of the dresses!! I'll share more as it progresses. Well done Nicole! x

Day tripping

We went to Plymouth last week and took Moo to meet my family. My parents are still living out in Austria and all of their family lives in the one city (except one!) Monty Moo was a hit! We stayed at my Nan's, had the best evening ful of a roast dinner, wine, bags of antique lace, talk of naughty things and wearing a part of said naughty thing (mentioned here!) Needless to say the swear jar that I have named the wed lock jar filled up...a LOT.
Moo ate a ridiculous amount of chicken and bacon from Nan and thanked her by not having any accidents.

Moo's grown!

I need to fall back in love with blogging...not obsessively but I miss it. I miss taking beautiful photos (of anything other than the puppy!) sharing creative goodies and finding inspiration. I go back to Design school in three weeks so a new routine needs to get started, that includes walking Monty moo at stupid O'clock!
Autumn is definitely here..I found my first conker today! And this means my huge Autumn clear out!
It's been the biggest clear out I think I have ever had! I've made a lot of money on ebay! It is such a faff but my god is it worth it! Getting rid of the clutter, boxes of pretties stored here there and everywhere has made me feel so much better and my 3 year itch to move has been stifled by making new things for our home. DIY peeks to follow soon!
I've booked in to pilates tonight for the first time in a looooooong time. The instructor is brutal...I'm expecting to be crawling out of bed tomorrow!

Just wanted to share how much Moo has grown this Summer before I get onto DIY and pretty things! He matches the fallen leaves and my new all year Autumn inspired lounge.

Pretty as a Rose

Every now and then I come across a designer and think that's so meeee! Rosemary Milner's work is breath taking, with beautiful soft natural hues, thoughtfully 'unfinished' and understated. I wish I could live in her head. I've been in love with ink for a while now and woodland creatures (they seem to be everywhere!) and the mix of the two is perfect. I could stare at it all day.

Lovely Ladybird

Emily seems to be a bit of a creature magnet. Two pretty ladybirds made themselves at home on her, its the first I've seen this Summer. I'm also missing bumble bees. Hope I see them soon

Long Rock

Today me, Moo and my lovely girls took a picnic to Penzance and Long Rock Beach and had a lovely rummaging beach day. It was such a great day and the sun crept out on us which is evident all over my back and shoulders! The beach was like a scene out of Marley and Me with a huge amount of dogs and poor little overtired Monty didn't know where to run first! The water was so tempting and amazingly warm, I must remember to take my swimmers everywhere I go!
